You may want to try a Live ISO of Unity 12.04LTS or Mint 13LTS, might make a difference running older Kernel Linux with your hardware.Mdemers800 wrote:I installed a Toshiba FlashAir SD card in my AirSense. Apart from the various sizes, this card has a data transfer speed of up to 1.5Mbps, allowing you to transfer files from SD card to your device seamlessly. I run Ubuntu Unity 12.04LTS (older Kernel Linux) with no issue. The ez Share Wi-Fi SD enabled SD card comes in the capacities ranging from 4GB to 32GB. In my limited ability as a perpetual noob, I determined that the newer Kernel Linux was not playing nice with my hardware. F20 is better, but still not as good as Unity 12.04LTS. May be way off the mark with this thought, but mid way through F18's life cycle, I started to run into varying hardware issues, one of which was poor power management (a show stopper for me). I now run Ubuntu Unity 12.04LTS (with Kernel Linux 3.2.0-57). Originally, I tested with F16 Xfce Live ISO (everything worked). I got this notebook, because it is GNU/Linux friendly (all hardware works). I use the SD card slot to read my Nikon camera card (copy data). The difference being, you have an AMD machine, and mine is an Intel. Return to the main interface click Apply and Proceed to commit operation. Choose File System for the partition based on specific demand and then click OK. I believe your hardware is a newer version of my hardware. Then, right-click the SD card partition and choose Format Partition. I have fedora 18 with updates done periodically through yum with the Security Spin. Is the code in this thread a fix all? I have seen it worked for a few different OEM products ,code mentioned is below. I have found this post with a little searching of the forum Internal Toshiba CD card Reader not recognizing SC Card, or USB-Adapted SD cards.
